How to back up origin games and tranfer to another computer :

Okay, I have seen this question posted many times lately on many different forums, and just wanted a nice guide for people that need to back up origin games. I will use BF3 as an example, but you can do this with any game in Origin.

Step 1: Go to Local Disk (C)/Program Files (x86)/Origin games and open it up, and copy over bf3 to a portable HDD or any drive that you want to back it up to.

LINE messaging App reaches 300 Million Users :

Messaging app LINE has reached 300 million registered users, according to its maker — reaching a target set by the company’s CEO earlier this year. LINE Corporation’s boss Akira Morikawa said the company is aiming to reach 500 million registered users by the end of 2014 and “to develop LINE into the world’s top communication service”. The app increased its user base from 200 million to 300 million in the space of just four months. It took 19 months to gain the first 100 million users, and six months to gain the next 100 million.

India is an important market for the company. “India has overtaken Japan to become the country with the third-largest number of smartphone users (according to a Strategy Analytics report). It is only natural to anticipate further growth of the smartphone market in India, and we believe that it will become a vital territory as Line expands into the global marketplace,” Morikawa had stated earlier.

Beats Studio Over-Ear Headphone, Price, Specifications and Review

I think it's obvious most people will expect the bass to be the #1 priority with this headphone, considering it's by MONSTER + Dr. Dre and called Beats. Well, it definitely doesn't disappoint there. The Monster Beats definitely wins in terms of bass. (Of course, Dr. Dre's genre relies heavily on it). If you listen to lots of rock/rap then you'll love the bass on these. If you get headaches with bass or you just can't stand it, then obviously, these aren't really for you.

The Monster Beats headphones require two AAA batteries to listen. You cannot use the headphones if no batteries are inserted, or if you don't have the switch to ON (located on the right side of the headphone). The batteries go inside the left compartment of the headphone. I've been listening with this headphone for the past two days and the batteries are still going. I'll have to use it longer to fully test the battery life, but hopefully it'll last several months because that would be really annoying if I have to keep replacing batteries. Since the headphone is powered by the battery, the sound is obviously amplified more, as well as the bass, than regular headphones. Whether you're using this on your computer, portable device or iPod, you can have the volume at a low setting and it'll still sound a lot louder than if you were to use a different headset at that volume setting.

Cooler Master Hyper TX3, Price, Specifications and Review :

Cooler Master has elected to use plastic blister packaging for the Hyper TX3. It was easy to open, and required no scissors, which is a refreshing change from most packaging of this type. TX3 supports Core 2 as well as Core i5, along with pretty much all Athlon 64s and above (Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon II, Phenom, Phenom II.) The cooler does not require installation of a motherboard backplate for use. Since this is a smaller cooler, it uses Intel's standard push-pins or AMD's clips to remain secure. Cooler Master has apparently revised the TX3 recently; previous versions used a clip to secure the 92 mm fan to the heatsink. This clip received VERY mixed reviews. The new fan retention mechanism is made of plastic. The fan is secured to the plastic mount with screws, and the mount itself snaps onto the cooler. Rubber pads are used to dampen fan vibrations. Also, this revision apparently makes the gap in between the heatpipes and aluminum smaller, which is always a welcome change.

Instagram Future Update Likely To Be " Messaging " :

Instagram, known as a visual communication platform, is looking for way to expand its appeal to its community of 200 million (and growing) users. First it was short-form video and next up is messaging. In June, video was added to the service as a counterplay to Twitter’s Vine. Last month, Instagram rolled out advertisements. Just days ago, Instagram finally showed up on Windows Phone, albeit with some serious omissions. Gigaom reports that the last major update of the year might be the most significant yet: messaging.

Ubuntu’s Mobile And Desktop Icon gets a Makeover :

In a session held at the Virtual Ubuntu Developer Summit (vUDS) on Thursday, 21st November, Matthieu James – who long time readers will recall was hired by Canonical specifically to revamp the icon set – presented findings, concepts and plans for the new look of Ubuntu’s touch and desktop faces. Ubuntu’s last major overhaul of visual assets occurred during the 10.04 LTS cycle, though a handful of new icons have appeared in the last few releases of the desktop OS.

Android tablet Dominates iPad :

Worldwide tablet shipments grew to 47.6 million units in the third quarter of 2013 (3Q13) according to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Tablet Tracker. While slightly below the firm's forecast, the number still represents 7.0% growth over the previous quarter and 36.7% growth compared to the third quarter of 2012. Android products once again drove much of the shipment growth in the market as iOS growth stalled and Windows tablets continued to struggle to win over consumers.

NZXT Technologies Source 210 Computer Case, Price , Specifications and Review :

The Source Series is NZXT’s chassis line designed to be a starting block for first time builders or a stepping stone for those who want to upgrade their rig later on. Each chassis faithfully serves their purpose as an affordable, memorable part of your system building experience; it may just be a keeper.
If you are looking for low budget case build, then look no further NZXT Technologies Source 210 Computer Case has an outstanding quality with many excellent features. According to NZXT, their goal with this case is "to provide the basic chassis to house your rig and just a little more to meet your needs". I think with this goal in mind they have absolutely delivered on their promise! This is not a power-house case, but at this price no-one should be expecting it to be.

Google Music available On iOS, One Month Free “All Access” Radio :

Google is bringing its take on unlimited streaming to the iPhone. Google Play Music arrives in the App Store with most of the features that its Android counterpart does, done up in a style that feels native to iOS while remaining familiar to anyone who has used the service on another platform. And while much of what the app offers on iOS has been available on Spotify and Rdio for years, Google has invested enough in helping users discover new music to make their version worth a look.

Apple iPad Mini Indepth Review :

Conceived from its sleek, glossy 10" counterpart, the new iPad Mini boasts one gigantic new trait over the full-sized iPad: the ability to hold it in one hand. This almost revolutionary twist on the device that sparked a frenzy in the tablet world has finally brought joy to those that have held out hope of such higher portability in an iPad for so long. But does the iPad Mini live up to the hype? Absolutely.

Turns out, the iPad mini is indeed more than simply a shrunk-down iPad, though there may be an argument for it actually resembling something more along the lines of a blown-up iPod touch. In any case, the big question: is the iPad mini right for you? I'll endeavor to answer that for you here by taking you hands-on with the new model, plus I'll share from my past few years of iPad ownership experience altogether, especially for those who haven't yet had an iPad to call their own.

Facebook Tries To Buy Snapchat For $3 Billion :

Facebook had already dished out $1 billion to buy photo sharing social network Instagram, the company was hoping to make an even bigger offer for photo service Snapchat. Facebook was prepared to offer around $3 billion to purchase Snapchat, but was turned down by Snapchat’s founders.

Snapchat has managed to capture the attention of tweens and teens, a crowd that's tiring of Facebook. The app is also estimated to be used by 9 percent of adult cell phone owners in the US, according to research conducted by Pew. A $3 billion offer for a revenue-less app hints at Facebook's desperation to buy the love of the Internet's youngest users.

According to WSJ’s sources, Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel won’t seriously consider any acquisition offer until at least next year.

Block Annoying Numbers On iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c :

It is always annoying to pic up the call from telemarketers , ex and stalkers . Some of them just don't know when to stop. Thanks to the iOS update, iPhone users can now block selected numbers within the operating system. By following these simple steps you will be free from annoying numbers.

1. Check which contact number you want to block. If you don't have the number saved in your contacts, just go to your call log  pull up the offending number and tap the “i” next to it.

Playstation 4, No 3D Blu-Ray Support :

PlayStation 4 does not play 3D Blu-rays, the system's online user guide has revealed. The document confirms that 3D Blu-rays and some re-writable 2D Blu-ray discs will not be supported by the console. That’s a little bit strange, considering how hard Sony pushed 3D content over the past few years and how consummately the PlayStation 3 handled 3D Blu-ray playback but it is perhaps something that might be patched back into the system – as with many features we took for granted. It’s surely something that the hardware is capable of, given its support of the relevant HDMI 1.3 standard and the power in the box.

Samsung Smartphones have taken over the world !

Samsung is now the No. 1 handset vendor for every single region for which it collects data, the first time ever that the company has straddled the globe as the world’s top vendor. Samsung’s general strategy has been to release one or two flagship models a year, such as 2013′s Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3, before then churning out multiple variations of those models such as the Galaxy S4 Zoom, the Galaxy S4 mini and the Galaxy S4 Active.

PlayStation App is now available on Android and iOS devices :

Sony has released an official PlayStation app for Android and iOS devices. The app gives access to the PlayStation Network from tablet and smartphone, and allows you to chat to friends, receive game alerts, and buy games from the PlayStation Store before pushing them to your PlayStation 4 to download and install while you're away from your console. PlayStation App for Android and iOS is now available in North America from Google Play and the iTunes App Store.

PlayStation App offers screen screen functionality via the Connect to PS4 feature. The app will also display PSN Trophy information, feature chat capabilities with friends and offer access to the PlayStation Store. It will also include Twitter and Facebook integration.

Motorola Launches Moto G, A Budget friendly Smartphone : ( Specifications and Price )

Google's Motorola unit has launched a relatively low-cost smartphone that includes features more commonly found in higher-priced models. Motorola's Moto X brightened up our lives with its color options, its decent lineup of specs, and its reasonable price tag. As a US-only phone however, it was a bit of a letdown for those of us living outside of America. Motorola's new Moto G brings a near identical design, a host of colors, a 720p 4.5-inch display, and a ludicrously cheap price tag.

Apple’s Rumored iTV on Hold Again :

According to sources in the TV supply chain, it appears that Apple’s long-rumored TV plans, which were far from concrete anyway, have been put on hold again, possibly to be replaced by a rollout of wearable devices. Although many financial and industry analysts have been speculating about Apple’s entrance into the TV business via an actual TV (instead of the Apple TV “hobby” set-top-box) for years, during the last year the rumor-mill has shifted into high gear about a 2014 introduction. Indeed, our own information from TV supply chain sources pointed to the fact that Apple appeared to be lining up resources for a product introduction in the second half of 2014, likely with 2-3 large screen sizes and 4K resolution.

MOTO X Customization is Now Available On Major Carriers :

Motorola’s Moto X is a solid phone, but part of its appeal are the customization options that allow users to engrave things into the back, change the color and even material of the back case and more via the Moto Maker online tool. But that started out as an AT&T exclusive, and remained so until today, when it’s expanding to Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon in the U.S.

Motorola promised today that Android 4.4 KitKat would be rolling out for the Moto X soon. In the mean time, the Moto Maker's expansion to the big four major US carriers is a welcome addition, allowing new Moto X buyers to choose from a set of colors for the device's backing, front edge, and accents. If you're paralyzed by choice, a Motorola Facebook app can link to your photos to act as a color picker. Unfortunately for US Cellular customers, black and white remain the only options at this time.

Camera and Microphone of Smartphone Can Give Away PIN CODE !

Researchers at the University of Cambridge have come up with an ingenious way of revealing the PIN codes for sensitive applications running on smartphones – listening for the sound of virtual buttons being pressed, and watching the user’s face as he or she types in their code.

Using a programme called PIN Skimmer a team from the University of Cambridge found that codes entered on a number-only soft keypad could be identified.

Apple working on pressure sensitivity iPhones with curved-glass :

Apple is in development on a pair of larger iPhones at 4.7 and 5.5 inches. That in itself isn't news — rumors of iPhones larger than the current four inches have been in the mill for years — but the report also says that these devices will incorporate glass that curves at the edge, a potentially big break from Apple's present iPhone design language. The company is said to also be experimenting with touchscreens that can detect different levels of pressure, but the technology may not make it into this first batch of devices.

With screens of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, the two new models would be Apple’s largest iPhones and would approach in size the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 that Samsung Electronics Co. debuted in September. The South Korean maker last month released its curved-screen Galaxy Round, the latest phone in an array of sizes and price points that’s helping keep Samsung ahead of Apple in global market share.

Nexus 5 battery life review : ( LOAD TEST )

Google's Nexus 5 skimps on a few things to get to that juicy $350 price point without subsidies, and perhaps the most major one is its 2300 mAh battery capacity.

A brand new Nexus 5 with broken-in battery lasted 4 hours and 50 minutes on our standardized test, where the phones are running a taxing custom script with screens set at the same 200 nits brightness level. The results are in the ballpark of the Xperia Z1, iPhone 5s and Galaxy S4, but the Nexus 5 endurance is a far cry from the excellent 6 hours and 48 minutes of its forefather LG G2.

Galaxy Note 12.2 passes FCC, Failed to keep its existance a secret !

Galaxy Note 12.2, the large tablet that Samsung is hoping will take the tablet market by storm next year, just can’t seem to keep its existence a secret.

Three unannounced and unreleased Sam-made gadgets have been caught red-handed while trying to discreetly get the green light from either the FCC or Bluetooth SIG. Detail revealed by the FCC about the tab carrying the model number SM-P900 and so far only “believed” to be the Wi-Fi only version of a Galaxy Note 12.2: there’s room for storing an S Pen at the very top of the slate. Hence, Galaxy Note 12.2  is now officially a future member of the GNote line.

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical PC Gaming Keyboard , Price , Specifications and Review :

To a certain extent Razer has made its own life difficult with the BlackWidow Ultimate. This $128 mechanical keyboard offers an impressively responsive typing experience, but we don't find its backlighting or spare USB jack and audio ports enough to justify the cost next to the otherwise identical standard BlackWidow that costs just $80. Without the $80 model, we would have few reservations recommending the BlackWidow Ultimate to gamers in the market for a luxury keyboard. As it stands, we can only suggest the Ultimate version if you find backlighting and a few extra inputs to be worth an additional $40.

Internet Explorer 11 now available on Windows 7 :

Internet Explorer hasn't exactly been the browser of champions over the last few years, but version 11 promises a vast improvement, and it's finally available for Windows 7 after a period of exclusivity on Windows 8.
What can the average user expect from this latest version? More speed, primarily. Microsoft has been hard at work revising their Javascript engine, which executes many of the custom bits of code that make websites work. It's hard to tell whether it will be faster than Firefox or Chrome on any particular website, but it should at least be competitive.

PSN friends list now live, You can now add up to the new limit of 2000 :

So those of you that had previously hit the 100 friend limit on the PSN, I have some great news. You can now add up to the new limit of 2000 so time to get adding your next gen buddies. PS4 supports up to 2,000 online friends, an expansion of the 100 friends limit for the PS3 system. On PS4 you can quickly expand your friend list by connecting with people you’ve played with recently as it does on the PS3 system.

The PS3 system will continue to support up to 100 friends at one time. If you build a friend list bigger than 100 on PS4/Vita, network servers will automatically filter your friend’s list when you play on a PS3 system. Additionally, you will be able to set and lock a pre-determined friends list to be used while you play on the PS3 system if you wish. Support for the ability to display all of your friends in most applications and games is planned, however, some titles will be limited to the current 100 Friends limit.

Android Tweaks Cause Android Security Issues :

The open nature of Google’s Android operating system means manufacturers can add their own software layer to the phone—helping them stand out from the pack with a different look and features. Yet new research shows such tailoring may also be responsible for a host of security weaknesses that could make phones more vulnerable to hackers.
According to a study conducted by computer science researchers at North Carolina State University, changes manufacturers made to the stock Android software were responsible for more than 60 percent of the security flaws uncovered in phones from different handset companies. A paper (pdf) on the work is slated to be presented Wednesday at the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security in Berlin.

Windows 8.1 update, bug between update and Telstra modems :

BigPond customers have been caught out by a bug between the new Windows 8.1 update and the modems issued by Telstra to broadband customers. The bug leaves customers unable to connect to the internet or load web pages, but only affects those who upgrade to the new Windows operating system. Since discovering the bug Telstra has developed a remote fix, which avoids the need to potentially replace thousands of modems manufactured by a company called Technicolor.

iPad Air EXPLODES, is it safe to buy this thin BOMB !

A brand new iPad Air exploded in flames in an Australian mobile phone store. The explosion and fire were so severe that the fire brigade had to be called in to fight the smoke and sparks that were continuing to burst out from the device. The incident occurred in a Vodafone store in Canberra and the shop had to be evacuated.

A Vodafone spokesperson confirmed that a “burst of flames” shot out of the iPad Air’s charging port while tablet was sitting unused. Sparks and smoke reportedly then continued to billow out of the device and the store was evacuated. The iPad apparently continued to burn until the fire department arrived to extinguish the blaze.

No comment has been available from Apple, which released the dramatically thin new model with the claim that it created an entirely new mobile computing experience.

With its thinner appearance, lighter weight and faster processor than the earlier model, it has been received favourably by technology writers.

Lenovo’s Smart smartphone plan ! Trageting iPhone :

One of the biggest surprises in the tech world this year came when Apple decided that it wouldn’t try to attract consumers in emerging markets by releasing a truly low-cost iPhone. Instead, the iPhone 5c that the company launched in September is mostly another high-end smartphone that’s slightly less expensive than the iPhone 5s off-contract because of its older hardware and cheaper plastic casing. Chinese manufacturer Lenovo, which has been the one company to actually thrive during the great PC sales collapse of 2013, now sees an opportunity to deliver to consumers in emerging markets and is planning to target consumers whom Apple has failed to reach with the iPhone 5c.

NEXUS 5 is $50 cheaper, if you buy directly from Google Play Store :

Google is selling its Nexus 5 Android smartphone at around a £50 less than other retailers can buy it, according to one retailer. The much-anticipated new flagship smartphone costs £300 directly from Google’s own Play store.

While it is unknown how much Google pays for each unit of Nexus 5 from its manufacturing partner LG in South Korea, other resellers are "able to buy the phone from LG for around £350" according to a retail source talking to the Guardian – £50 more than Google is currently selling the phone for on the Play Store.

“We saw the same thing with the Nexus 4,” explained Ben Wood, mobile analyst with research firm CCS Insight. “With the Nexus line, Google always goes for very aggressive pricing with its manufacturing partner.”

The advantage of being part of Google’s Nexus programme is early access to new versions of Google’s Android operating system, which gives device manufacturers a leg up on the competition and Google leverage over their partner.

How to ROOT your NEXUS 5 :

By rooting (aka gaining admin rights to) your Nexus 5, you can install a custom ROM, run rooted apps, undervolt or overclock the processor, and even add multi-window support (like the function on the Galaxy Note 3) to the Nexus 5. User Chainfire on XDA has written an app that roots a lot of different devices and it also works on the Nexus 5. Here’s how to use it.

Facebook Says Goodbye To The Like Thumb :

The biggest difference you'll notice straight away: the thumb is gone from the Like button. Instead, it will appear in the dialogue box above the button that shows you how many Likes your post or page has.

The new button features the Facebook "f" logo instead. It is white on blue, rather than blue on white, as is the new share button. The Share button will replace Facebook's Send button — deemed too confusing.

Lenova Quarterly Profit Raised By 36% :

The Lenovo Group, the world’s top supplier of personal computers, said on Thursday that its latest quarterly profit rose 36 percent as sales of smartphones and tablet computers more than doubled.   Lenovo earned $220 million, or $2.12 a share, in the three months ended Sept. 30, the company said. Revenue rose 13 percent from a year earlier to $9.8 billion.

The results reflect the shift underway as people switch to going online wirelessly and manufacturers that had counted on the bulk of their revenue from desktop PCs scramble to keep up.

SD card which is speed enough to handle 4K videos :

The SD Association today announced a new high-performance option and symbol specifically designed to support a wide array of 4K2K television and video products. A new Ultra High Speed (UHS) Speed Class 3 (U3) symbol will indicate products capable of recording 4K2K video and will operate exclusively on SDXC UHS-I and UHS-II memory cards and devices and SDHC UHS-I and UHS-II memory cards and devices.

The UHS Speed Class 3 defines a sizzling fast 30 Megabytes per second constant minimum write speed to ensure high-quality video recordings. This means 4K2K video, live broadcasts and content can be recorded on high-performance cameras such as Digital Single Lens Reflex (D-SLR), Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (D-SLM), camcorders and video cameras and then played back smoothly. Consumers will benefit from a single card that is capable of meeting all of their video, photo, music, document and data storage needs.

PaintShop Pro X5 Ultimate Review :

PaintShop Pro, from Corel, has long been a low-cost alternative to Photoshop. And while it performs a surprising number of the whiz-bang functions Photoshop is famous for, it's clearly not the real McCoy, in terms of feature set and performance. That said, PaintShop Pro X6 is a fantastic value, especially when you consider that the Ultimate edition includes some powerful plugins you'd pay hundreds for on their own. The interface has been tidied up from its predecessor's confusing array of buttons and menus, though it still falls short of Adobe usability. It's true that you get what you pay for, but PaintShop Pro is still a viable low-cost alternative, and the new version adds some enticing features of its own, along with a tidied-up interface and 64-bit performance.

Super Mario in-browser game is illegal :

College student Josh Goldberg created the Full Screen Mario site in HTML 5 so people could play the game in a web browser rather than on a games console.
But Nintendo has asked him to remove the content saying it infringes its "intellectual property rights".

The game is still operational.
Mr Goldberg, who admitted he did not get permission from Nintendo to re-create the game, said he began the project in October 2012 as a computer programming exercise.
He "didn't care" about copyright issues because he "didn't think it would be a big project", he told the newspaper.

Nokia's 6-inch Lumia 1520 arrives on AT&T for $200, Pre Order Now !

AT&T and the Microsoft Store just started taking preorders for the Lumia 1520 with Windows Phone 8. The device, which was first unveiled last month, costs $199.99 with a two-year contract and comes in four colors: matte black, matte yellow, matte white, and glossy red. It will be available exclusively on AT&T’s 4G LTE network starting Nov. 22.

For a limited time, the companies are also sweetening the deal:

AT&T is offering a $20 app voucher, a free copy of Halo: Spartan Assault, and 50 GB of free cloud storage on AT&T Locker to customers who buy and activate the phone (the fine print).
The Microsoft Store, meanwhile, is enticing buyers with $70 worth of app vouchers and free copy of Halo: Spartan Assault. Preorder customers also get a flip cover worth $40 (the fine print).

And speaking of apps, don’t forget Instagram, Vine, Flipboard, Mint, and many more are also on the way. To order the Lumia 1520, visit the AT&T or Microsoft Store website. (Not in the U.S.? The phone is also later headed to Hong Kong, Singapore, China, U.K., France, Germany, Finland, and other markets.)

Moto X Verizon customers can customize from November 11 :

Good news, Verizon customers: Soon you’ll be able to buy the same wood-patterned Moto X that AT&T customers have enjoyed for months. Droid Life’s sources claim that Verizon customers will get access to the Moto Maker system starting on November 11th, which will let them custom-design their Moto X smartphones and choose from features such as colors, engravings and signature wallpapers. Like AT&T, Verizon will probably sell the customizable Moto X for just $99 with a two-year contract.

Google Keyboard update gets KitKat features :

The Google Keyboard is getting a nice update that brings it right up to speed with the latest KitKat features and styling, offering what was only available on the Nexus 5 for a few days. Now any device running Android 4.0 or above will see the newer black and grey look (no more holo blue here), along with a few new features. First up, the long-press menus have been revised and you now access emoji rather than just basic smilies if your phone supports it.

The update also adds "space-aware gesture typing," which is just a fancy way of saying you can swipe over the space bar rather than lifting your finger between words. You'll also see a better punctuation layout across phones and tablets of different sizes, making the best use of the real estate at hand.
You can grab an update to the latest Google Keyboard and get a taste of KitKat on your own device at the Play Store - Click Here

HTC M8 Leaked Image, will be the Successor of HTC One ?

The HTC One is beginning to be old news, so it’s time we start focusing on the possible future offering from the hurting Android manufacturer. The One showed people that the company wasn’t completely out of great ideas, and for the most part, the One is a fantastic device. So, can HTC keep it up with the One’s successor, rumored to be the M8, that should be unveiled in the first half of 2014?

NEXUS 5 Price, Specifications and Review :

After months of rumors, leaks and speculation, Google finally took the wraps off of its new Nexus 5 smartphone last week and Android fans were elated. The sleek new handset started selling out in mere minutes and by the end of the day, it would be weeks until new orders of some Nexus 5 builds would be dispatched. Can Google’s new Nexus phone possibly live up to all the hype that has built up over the past few months?

Design : The Nexus 5 is incredibly well balanced to hold, and feels lighter than the Apple iPhone 5s even though it isn't (and I confirmed it in our lab; it weighs 4.6 ounces, versus 3.9 for the iPhone 5). The Nexus 5 measures 5.43 by 2.72 by 0.34 inches (HWD). It's encased entirely in a comfortable, rubberized soft touch housing. The left panel holds the volume rocker switch, on the top edge, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the right side houses the Power button at the top, with a micro-SIM slot below it. The bottom edge holds a microphone and the mono speaker, which is a bit of a disappointment compared with the HTC One Google Play Edition, with its far superior stereo speakers.

Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset Price, Specifications and Review :

The Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Gaming headset ($149.99 shipped) is the first wireless audio product to be released by Corsair. These headphones were designed from the ground up as a wireless solution that was able to give gamers the detailed positional audio, reliable voice communication, and comfort that is required for intense gaming sessions. With a wireless gaming headset there is no cable to roll over or get tangled up on your desk. They also have a range of 40 feet, so you can get up and come back without having to take them off. We all know how frustrating wired headsets can be at times and for some the extra price of a wireless headset is more than justified to keep infuriating times to a minimum.

Huawei into 5G research spending $600m

The company announced on Wednesday that it is pouring $600m into 5G research over the next five years, ahead of the expected launch of 5G networks in 2020. There's no concrete specification for 5G from the telecoms standards bodies yet, and the term is generally used as a catch-all for what's expected succeed today's 4G LTE networks. For its part, Huawei describes 5G networks as being able to deliver peak data rates of 10Gbps, or around ten times faster than most 4G connections today.

The $600m research will be used for "a range of key enabling technologies, including the research of air-interface technology", the company said, but could not provide more details on which other enabling technologies would be a focus of its research, or how the money would be spent.

YouTube To Change Its Comments Section This Week :

The comments section below YouTube videos is an infamously troll-ridden Wild West of abuse, ignorance and spam. But possibly not for much longer. Google's online video service is rolling out changes to the way comments work on YouTube, giving creators more power to moderate and block comments, and adding new sorting mechanisms to ensure better, more relevant discussions appear at the top.

YouTube announced plans to shake up its comments in September in a blog post titled "We hear you: better commenting coming to YouTube", acknowledging frequent criticisms of the quality and tone of YouTube comments.

The changes will roll out this week, with product manager Nundu Janakiram and principal engineer Yonatan Zunger explaining in a new blog post that the moves are designed to ensure "YouTube comments will become conversations that matter to you".

Verizon, No Activation Of Nexus 7 until Google delivers a KitKat update :

It's been three months since the Nexus 7 was supposed to arrive on Verizon's LTE network, but Verizon is still refusing to activate the device. Now, the company is blaming Google and device manufacturer Asus for the delay getting the tablet certified. Verizon told Android Police that after it discovered a "systems issue" during the certification process, Google and Asus actually asked the cellular carrier not to certify the tablet for Verizon LTE until an update to Android 4.4 could arrive.

Here's Verizon's statement " During the certification process for the Nexus 7, Google, Asus and Verizon uncovered a systems issue that required Google and Asus to undertake additional work with the Jelly Bean OS running on the device. Since Google was about to launch its new Kit Kat OS, rather than undertake this work, Google and Asus asked Verizon to suspend its certification process until Google's new OS was available on the Nexus 7".

Swype 1.6 for Android Comes With Mini Keyboards :

We know it’s hard to believe, but there are still people out there who own a smartphone with a touchscreen that can’t get a handle of its on-screen keyboard. That’s why applications like Swype are so important as it allows those who have trouble typing on touchscreen devices actually feel like they can hold a real conversation without the other person thinking they had a stroke due to the amount of typos they’ve sent along in their message. Today, Swype just got a little better as the application now supports phablets.

Users with giant phones can choose separate mini keyboards for both landscape and portrait views, and exacting typists can either fine-tune the dimensions or pick a secondary language. There's also a pair of upgrades for those who don't like to type at all -- Swype now offers both continuous dictation as well as support for voice recognition in a different language than the keyboard. Whatever your input preferences, you can buy a fresh copy of Swype 1.6 for $4 from either Google Play or the Amazon Appstore.
